We aim the project to be fully patient-centered. Our project is unique in providing prospective insights in psychological and behavioural markers for treatment outcomes. This will be led by the team of psychologists, patient organisations (VCME, Psoriasispatiënten Nederland, Stichting Huidlymphoom) and input from clinical dermatologists. Our psychologists are internationally recognized as frontrunner in clinical psychology, psychodermatology and treatment interventions. Their unique expertise will aid the development of questionnaires and research tools to monitor patients. Communication experts (HAN) will map the wishes of patients and ensure the voices of patients are heard in all Stepping Stones of the project. HAN also plays a crucial role in other internal and external communication and provide expertise in inclusive stakeholder communication, engagement, brand positioning, and internal communication and collaboration within complex consortia.
For the design, preparation and execution of the observational and interventional clinical trials, psychologists, patient organisations and communication experts team up with dermatologists, clinical trial experts and technologists and pharmaceutical companies. For the recruitment of patients we also make use of CONNECTED (www.dermaconnected.nl): the Clinical Network for Trials in Dermatology. CONNECTED will serve as our main clinical network to support all ongoing research and trial activities. Via CONNECTED many peripheral hospitals, derma clinics and skin therapists become embedded in NGID. In addition, the network of general practitioners will actively participate to provide first-line input into the project.
